About me

Hi, I’m Sally Rodgers and amongst other things I’m a producer of electronic music, a DJ, lyricist and performer. As one half of A Man Called Adam, I’ve been making music with my musical partner Steve Jones for years and in recent times we’ve worked on sound for movies, theatrical productions and museum exhibitions.
I used to have a regular late night slot on BBC Radio 2, and last year, while I was up there studying for a masters in Poetry, I had a weekly show on the St Andrews student radio station, STAR. I have shockingly eclectic tastes and am as happy playing Stockhausen’s Stimmung as I am Pet Sounds.

That I'm a hermaphrodite (not really, would be cool though, no?)

Alistair Campbell or that giant cartoon girl in Monsters vs Aliens.

What is your worst habit?

Interrupting people when they're speaking.

1979 Toyota Celica. A poor man's Jensen Interceptor but developed in me an enduring love of a coupe.

Hmmm. I think Searching for the Young Soul Rebels, Dexy's was the first album I bought (I lie, it was probably The Muppet album)

What is your favorite food ?

Soft Shell crab

What is your favorite band ?

Too many...

What is your favorite TV show ?

I like foreign cop shows.

What is your favorite film ?

I like brainy foreign films especially Italian (Fellini, Passolini etc...) but also anything stupid with Will Ferrell in it.
