JoeMeek Special on Source Fm's Show Me Them Now programme, 7.30pm till 9.30pm, Wednesday 21st September.
Dave Garwood will be interviewing David Peters who managed local band 'Danny's Passion' in the mid sixties.
The band recorded with producer Joe Meek in 1966 and David has become an authority on matters relating to this legendary figure.
Not only will he give us inside knowledge on the set-up at Joe's London, Holloway Road recording studio (his flat!) with never heard before recordings, but also the story of Danny's Passion and the Cornish music scene in the 60's.

Hi Dave,
I am looking forward to hearing your Joe Meek special as he is a legendary figure who has always interested me,my daughter lives just down the road from his old flat/studio in London's Holloway Road, the building is currently locked up and empty and it sits above a greengrocers and is next to the Titanic Cafe.
The building looks strangely foreboding,it does bear a blue plaque high up on the building commemorating its use by Joe Meek,it would be interesting if someone could take it on and turn it into a pop museum or something similar.
I have some photos of the outside of the building taken when I was last visiting my daughter, let me know if you would like to see them and I mail them on to you.
Regards

I lived up in Archway for a while and wandered past the place often, too.
It's amazing to think that an everyday flat above a shop could have such a history.
David Peters really knows his stuff when it comes to Joe Meek, so I really think it's going to be a fascinating show. Not the all of the music is my thing, but there's no two ways about it Joe's part in it all is one of genius/ maverick. The term ahead of his time hardly comes close!
Cheers
Dave
