Radio Production Courses with Source fm
Cornwall Adult Education Service will once again be running a Radio Production course starting this autumn. The course offers a chance to extend your broadcasting skills and gain a Level 2 NCFE qualification.
You don't need any previous experience or qualifications to join the course - just a a desire to make interesting, professional sounding programmes and an enthusiasm for radio.
The students who completed the 09/10 course have all had their work broadcast on community radio and one of them is now getting paid work at a local commercial station.
Here are some of the comments from last year's students who came from various parts of Cornwall to attend the Falmouth based course.
PAUL: "It's been fun, interesting and has really helped me develop as a broadcaster. I hadn't had any education since I left school and I was slightly worried about going back into the classroom but I have really enjoyed it."
JENNY: "It's given me more confidence with technology which means that I can be as creative as I like without relying on others to give technical help when I am making programmes."
JOY: "I had no experience of radio when I signed up for the course but at the end of it I am a regular presenter on Penwith Radio. The course has made me more confident and more employable too."
DANIEL: "It has expanded my knowledge of radio - it has been a great experience, a one-in-a-lifetime chance to improve my radio skills. It's been fun too and I have met some great people."
