- About me
Hi I’m Al Green and I present “Rainbow Source” on Wednesdays 6-7pm along with Steve Cannon.
In my work career I’ve worked in Sex, Drugs & Rock & Roll – do I qualify as a radio DJ?
I currently work as a gay men’s sexual health worker , I’ve managed a drugs project, and I used to be a club DJ, I worked in a record store, and I ran a record label, so some might say being on the radio talking about issues that affect Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender people and playing music that excites me is a natural progression from some of that!
One of the things I love about “The Source” is its diversity, and its positive reflection of different people, scenes and culture within Falmouth & Penryn. I’m a firm believer that community radio gives a voice to the people that maybe mainstream culture forgets sometimes, and encourages people to gain confidence from broadcasting and be creative – it definitely feels that this a value that “The Source” also shares, and there’s a real buzz about the station.
