About me

Kim is a magazine publisher and marketer. He owned and ran Brass Tacks Publishing from 1985 until he sold it to a major plc in 2000. Among other titles, the company published Running Rugby, Tryline, Lawn Tennis Yearbook, Inside Racing and Scottish Football. Brass Tacks had offices in London, Bristol and Edinburgh but when he sold the business Kim moved back to his native Cornwall. He is now a partner in Cornwall Ventures which invests in and mentors SMEs in the county; and he has reformed his old company as Brass Tacks Media which is 'a one man band with one client at the moment'.
In his leisure time, he is chairman of Falmouth Rugby Club, a trustee of local children's charity BFAdventure and a director of Cornwall Arts Centre Trust (apart from sport, art is his other great love). He owns a fishing boat and also enjoys walking. He is married to Sarah and has three teenage children. Other membereships: Groucho Club, CPRE, Royal Academy, Minehead Barbarians Rugby Club, Guy's Hospital Rugby Club
