Personal information

About me

I’m a sixty something musician that’s spent a lifetime immersed in music. With the exception of a few brief spells of petrol pumping, nut and bolt shovelling, oh and porridge oat dispensing (don’t ask). I have always managed to earn a living from the music business, either as a musician, a record shop manager, recording engineer or proprietor of a music shop. Despite all this professional activity I’m basically a punter at heart, and nothing pleases me more than sharing my musical loves with other people. For the last three years or more I’ve been blogging about music – now I can bore you in person!

Adventures in the Din Trade During the course of my show I like to dip into all areas of music that interest me – that’s almost everything except current Pop – and to make connections and draw parallels. You will hear an awful lot of Brazilian music because that is my major passion, but you will also hear jazz, bluegrass, English folk music, classical music, African music, Indian music – in fact almost every kind of music there is. And remember – if you enjoy listening to my show half as much as I enjoy presenting it,... 2
