In August 1979 my life changed, before then I was just a 7 year old kid running round playing football and laughing at farts – then I saw the Special A.K.A perform Gangsters on a tiny black and white TV. Ever since I have been obsessed with music. I started DJ-ing house parties in the late 80’s and became a proper paid DJ in 1991 - starting with indie and alternative sets at the legendary Old Trout in Windsor. The Acid house boom expanded my tastes and record collection and I was soon a club DJ too. I was lucky enough to run my own vinyl shop for a while and also got a couple of slots on a very well respected West London pirate radio station (which can’t be named for legal reasons!). I started as a rude boy, then I was an indie kid, then a cheesy quaver - now I am all 3. I try my best to entertain the diverse collection of people who live here with my diverse collection of music. Join me on Monday afternoons from 1 to 3 for the Idler’s breakfast show. Oh and I still laugh at farts.
