Storm Bronagh hits Cornwall tonight

The Met Office in Exeter has issued a Yellow warning for Wind valid from 6pm tonight (Thursday 20th September 2018) until 9am tomorrow as Storm Bronagh, the newest named Atlantic storm arrives in Cornwall.

Winds are expected to gust up to 50mph, with damage to buildings and trees possible, injuries and danger to life from flying debris and the possibilities of delays and cancellations to public transport services.

Some roads and bridges may also close, and power cuts are also possible.

Storm Bronagh is the third storm to hit the UK in this Atlantic storm season, with former Tropical Storm Helene, and Storm Ali already having made landfall this week.
