Refusing to be nailed down to a specific genre, Random Jukebox sees out the weekend with a rag-tag mix of new releases, album tracks, b-sides, cover versions and other downtempo oddities.

Presenter Karl Phillips says “I prefer the term ‘sequencing’ to ‘mixing’; it’s not really about beat-matching, more about blending a seemingly random bunch of tunes, old and new, familiar and obscure, into something discernible.

It’s an extension of the bar sets that I used to play out but with more freedom…it’s been described as music for insomniacs but I hope it keeps you up for all the right reasons”.
