Val has a fine pedigree as a musician and singer in Cornwall and has a lifelong love of music ,most recently Americana and country. Singer/songwriters are a particular favourite.
A Falmouth lass born and bred, it is a dream come true for her to play DJ every week on the Source. Her show ‘Musical recipes’ is predominantly Americana, country and blues, with a smattering of R&B, but you can always expect something to get your feet tapping, something to tug at your heartstrings and something to put a smile on your face.
With bits of info and wit(guess who wrote this!!) between tracks this show
is always fun. We are amazed that she hasn’t won any awards!! So is she…..Ha Ha Ha!!!

I don't know how I found you, but I'm so happy I did. I listen to 96.1 online constantly. Love the variety of music and all the presenters. I'm in Eureka California and have been able to visit Cornwall once. I left my heart there and want desparately to return. Until then, at least I can listen in. Cheers!Susan
I just discovered your wonderful station! Wow love it....from Barbara Hepworth to the Buzzcocks! Very cool indeed. I grew up as a kid in Cornwall (St. Day and Grampound) in the 60's my family emigrated to California in 1967. My love for anything brewed in Cornwall is strong! I have spent the last 40 years as a Graphic Designer for TV and Print here in Los Angeles, I was also an online DJ for a local station here. So happy to have discovered Source!James
