Re-Source Project

Since 2009, SourceFM has been a cornerstone of the Falmouth and Penryn communities, empowering local residents, groups, and businesses to share their voices and creativity. We offer people of all ages and backgrounds the chance to belong to an energetic, community-spirited project—an experience that has proven to improve mental health, boost general well-being, and give participants a renewed sense of purpose and direction.

A shining example of how SourceFM can change lives is Rosie Dunstan, who was just 15 years old
when she first reached out to us, eager to learn about radio. We welcomed her into our station,
trained her in all aspects of broadcasting, and today she has one of the most popular shows on the
station.

"Since joining Source FM I’ve trained in many different areas from outside broadcasts, interviews, Parklive and even my own weekly radio show. Everyone is so supportive and encouraging. It’s a real inspiration and my hope is to carry this on into my future, to share my love of music and broadcast. It has changed my life, made me so much more confident, and given me more self-belief".

Rosie's journey is just one example of ow SourceFM provides people with a tangible sense of belonging, helping them to build confidence, develop skills, and open doors to a brighter future.

There are a lot of ‘Rosies’ out there who would love this opportunity.

SourceFM needs you!

Now, with the launch of Falmouth Town Council’s Re-Source Project, we are proud to be working in
partnership with the Council to create an even larger, more dynamic space for the community to
learn, create, and connect. This exciting project will transform Kimberley Park Lodge into a vibrant media hub, featuring:

  • Two state-of-the-art community radio studios
  • A versatile recording and rehearsal space
  • A community cafe to foster creativity and connection

Funded by Falmouth Town Council and the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, the Re-Source
Project is designed to provide the community with access to media training and creative opportunities. In partnership with the Council, Source FM is helping to empower people of all ages
and backgrounds—from radio broadcasting and podcasting to music production and recording. The
goal is to equip individuals with new skills, improve mental health, and unlock their creative potential.

However, to bring this vision to life, we need your help. While construction of the Re-Source Project is already underway, rising costs have created a funding gap for the essential studio fit-out.

How You Can Help

We are seeking support from businesses, individuals, and community-minded organisations to
sponsor specific aspects of the studio fit-out or make a direct dona;on. Every contribution, no matter
the size, will help us equip the studios with the latest industry-standard technology, ensuring that the new space is ready to support the next genera;on of broadcasters, musicians, and media creators.

What's in It for You

Visibility and Recognition: Your name or business will be prominently displayed on our
website and on a plaque in the new media hub, showing your commitment to supporting the
creative and cultural development of our local community.

Making a Real Impact: Your donation will help provide life-changing opportunities for
individuals like Rosie and countless others, improving mental health, boosting confidence, and
fostering a strong sense of community.

Join Us in Shaping the Future

With your support, SourceFM’s new studios will become a beacon of creativity, learning, and
community spirit for years to come. Together, we can make sure this vibrant, creative hub becomes a
reality and continues to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to learn, grow, and thrive.

Visit our website today to learn more about the equipment we need, sponsorship opportunities, and
how you can help bring this exciting project to life.
